My Experience Watching Raw This Week
This week’s WWE Raw felt special. From the moment the show opened, it was clear WWE is turning up the heat for SummerSlam 2025. Big matches, surprise returns, and emotional promos made it one of the best episodes of the year so far. Here’s everything that happened on Raw—match by match and segment by segment.
Segment 1: Naomi Opens the Show as New Champion
Naomi came out with the Women’s World Championship, fresh off her surprise cash-in at WWE Evolution. The crowd gave her a huge reaction—she deserved it. Naomi looked emotional and proud. She spoke about her journey, the pain of being overlooked, and how she finally proved the world wrong.
But things didn’t stay calm for long.
Rhea Ripley interrupted and demanded a rematch. Then Iyo Sky came out and made her own case. General Manager Adam Pearce came out and made it official:
👉 Naomi vs Rhea Ripley vs Iyo Sky for the Women’s World Title at SummerSlam!
Personal note: I loved seeing Naomi shine. Her promo felt real—like she was speaking from the heart.
Match 1: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs. Kabuki Warriors
Winners: Raquel & Roxanne (Judgment Day)
This tag match was fast-paced and physical. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) looked sharp, but Judgment Day’s Raquel and Roxanne had better teamwork. Roxanne hit a Pop Rox on Kairi to win it.
Post-match: Asuka looked frustrated. A breakup angle might be coming soon.
Match 2: Lyra Valkyria vs Bayley (Best-of-Three Falls Match)
Winner: Lyra Valkyria (2–1)
This was my favorite match of the night. Bayley won the first fall quickly with a sneaky roll-up. But Lyra fought back hard. She used her speed and heart to win the second and third falls.
After the match, Becky Lynch appeared on the screen to congratulate her—and challenge her to a title match at SummerSlam for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
This match was emotional, physical, and felt like a big moment for Lyra.
Nikki Bella Returns
Yes, Nikki Bella is back! She got a massive pop from the fans. She faced Chelsea Green and won quickly with her signature Rack Attack 2.0.
It wasn’t a long match, but it gave Nikki a chance to shine again. She looked in great shape, and the crowd was behind her. She teased a future run—maybe a title feud?
Main Event: #1 Contender Gauntlet Match for World Heavyweight Title
Participants: LA Knight, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Penta El Zero Miedo, Bron Breakker
Winner: CM Punk
This match was absolutely wild. Each man got their moment to shine:
-
LA Knight had the crowd on his side but was eliminated early by Breakker.
-
Jey Uso had a great sequence with Penta.
-
CM Punk entered last and outlasted Bron Breakker in a back-and-forth battle.
Punk finally hit the GTS to win and earn his SummerSlam title shot against Gunther.
Roman Reigns Returns
Just when we thought Raw was over—Roman Reigns made his long-awaited return!
He came out to help CM Punk and Jey Uso, who were being attacked by Seth Rollins’ new faction. Reigns cleaned house and stood tall to end the show.
The crowd lost it. It looks like we’re heading toward a Reigns/Punk alliance vs. Rollins and crew.
