WWE announces John Cena will return to Smackdown on September 1.

We witnessed John Cena wrestle with Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39, where Austin Theory pinged him and retained his United States Championship. On July 1, money in the bank was pay per view. 46-year-old John Cena made a surprise return at the O2 arena in London. which is the first Money in the Bank to be held outside of the United States as well as WWE’s first major event to be held in London.

Due to his busy schedule of filming, John Cena can only make a few appearances in WWE. Now it’s official that WWE has announced that 16-time world champion John Cena will return on September 1 for Friday Night Smackdown.

John Cena will also make a return in India at Superstar Spectacle Event

On August 1, WWE announced a WWE superstar spectacle in India with the WWE Superstar Spectacle on September 1 at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. This is the first show in Hyderabad.
The last WWE show was held in India in 2017. WWE officially announces that John Cena will take part in the WWE Superstar Spectacle in India on Friday, Sept. 8. John Cena shares his comeback to India on Twitter.

As Cena mentioned on Twitter, this is the first time he has wrestled in India. He visited India several times back from 2006 to 2017, but never wrestled a match; he also mentioned time is now!
This indicates he will wrestle in a match in India on September 8. John Cena visited India back in 2006 for promotion but never wrestled in India. This will be a great opportunity.for the 16-time world champion to wrestle in India.

Over the years, WWE has had a huge fan base in India. WWE produces local programming in Hindi on Sunday. WWE has considered India to be one of its largest international markets, as per reports stating that Raw and SmackDown had an average of 50 million viewers weekly on SPN.

WWE Superstar Spectacle Show in India, September 8, 2023

WWE announced its long-awaited return to India with the WWE Superstar spectacle at GMC Stadium in Hyderabad, India, on September 8. This will be the first live event to take place in India in 2023.
Tickets are already sold out. WWE fans will see their favorite superstars in action, such as World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn, and Kevin And now WWE has officially announced that John Cena is also coming to the show.

Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, and 16-time World Champion John Cena—these superstars are advertised for the show in India.

In January 2019, Triple H stated that the WWE would eventually open a performance center in India. Two months later, the first-ever WWE tryouts in India were held, in which approximately 60 men and 20 women were shortlisted.

Superstar Spectacle, WWE’s first televised event special aimed at the Indian market, was staged for Republic Day on January 22, 2021, and it featured matchups. with both established and up-and-coming WWE talent with Indian Heritage. The title of the event was Superstar Spectacle.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the event in India.

Meltzer said:

“They’ve been wanting to do this big show, it’s a television event in India. The building itself is like 3500-4000 seats for this setup. It’s not about drawing a big crowd, or anything like that, like big money from the fanbase. But it’s

“It was something that was planned months ago and delayed because they were waiting for a merger to go through that has since gone through with Sony Six.”

“It’s gonna be heavily using Sanga and Veer and Jinder Mahal. The idea was always to have a big stable of Indian wrestlers, because India is the market, even though they can’t go there and draw people at shows because

culturally people just don’t buy tickets for sports events, other than cricket which is like the big national sport, but it’s very, very difficult to sell tickets.”

“When they went with Jinder and Triple H, they did have 9,000 people, it wasn’t a sellout or anything but people think, ‘Oh, they’re so popular on TV’, which they are, but, they make more money on television

in India than anywhere but the United States. They make more than Canada, more than the UK, I think Canada’s #4, UK’s #3, India’s #2 as far as the money that (they) make off of the television.”

“So it’s a very important market for WWE, but not a market that they can run a whole bunch of shows in like they can in Canada or the UK.”

John Cena’s upcoming movie Freelance 2023 will release in October.

As John Cena’s WWE return was confirmed on September 1 and 8, he has been busy in October with his upcoming film Freelance 2023. John Cena and Alison Brie starred in the film, as John Cena plays a former military special forces operative who paid for security Freelance journalist.Alison Bri while she interviewed Dictator.

The movie shows the twists and turns of fighting, and the race to escape the country also has some comedy and is mostly action-packed. Movie Freelance is releasing on October 6.

John Cena will return to Smackdown on September 1, where he could challenge someone for the match in India. There have been rumors that John Cena will challenge the Austin Theory.
Back in April, Austin got a cheated victory over John Cena at WrestleMania 39, as he was going to take revenge on Austin Theory at the WWE Superstar Spectacle Show India on September 8. Also, there has been a rumor that John Cena will challenge the Intercontinental Championship GUNTHER.

Since the anticipation for the match is building, Cena facing Gunther could be a great battle with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.
